President and Founder
Daniel Hodin, founder and president of Presidential Title-a subsidiary of law firm Paley Rothman-has fashioned a formidable 30-year career in the title & settlement industry in the Washington metropolitan area. He has extensive experience in both the commercial and residential arenas, having handled a myriad of purchase, refinancing and tax-deferred transactions for borrowers/buyers and sellers. Under his direction, Presidential Title has served as the agent for some of the largest title insurance underwriters in the country while conducting settlements in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Within the commercial field, Daniel Hodin has acted as settlement attorney for local, national and international real estate developers, builders and syndicators, owners, and office and retail tenants, He also has served in a similar capacity for financial institutions in handling purchase money financing, refinance loans, construction loans, workouts and foreclosures, and has conducted many settlements for biotech companies involving synthetic leasing.
Daniel Hodin’s resume of real estate projects includes hotels, office buildings, condominiums, apartment complexes, industrial properties and shopping centers located throughout the United States.
On the residential side, Daniel Hodin is equally adept at working with individuals and handling the wide range of estate-related issues that add complexity to real estate transactions. He also has extensive experience with the full gamut of estate issues, family law matters and concerns specific to foreign-born individuals. His reputation for providing first class representation to his clients and the mutually respectful relationships he has forged with countless real estate brokers serve him well.
A member of Paley Rothman’s Real Estate, Financial Services and Corporate practice groups, Daniel Hodin has received numerous acknowledgments as one of the area’s top real estate-settlement attorneys. He has been selected on several occasions as one of the “Top Real Estate Lawyers” by Washingtonian Magazine. He also was named one of the “Best Lawyers in America” and was included among the state of Maryland’s “Super Lawyers” in a poll of his peers.
After earning both his B.S. and J.D. degrees from Tulane University, Daniel Hodin went on to receive a Masters Degree in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School. He is a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Pennsylvania Bars.
